Below you will find a collection of goals that I intend on completing, most within the year 2008. I’ve broken them down into 3 main categories: Things to do, things to have, and things to be. I’ve also added a few specific lists of places to visit and books to read. I will continue to edit and add to this section. Encouraging words are welcome. Some things may seem silly, but they are my goals nonetheless. I’d love to see your own goals and lists. You can do it!

Virtues:
Lately I’ve been wondering about the way to live a good life. I figured the best way is to define what a “good” life would look like. Here is a list of virtues that I would like to expand on in the form of small essays to help get my mind around them:

I want to keep track of how I’m doing in the areas of the Mind, Body and Soul. Here’s what I’ve been actively doing to grow in these areas.
Goods of the Mind:
- Reading 1 book per month.
- Friday night philosophy discussions.
- Sunday Morning philosophy/faith discussions.
- Listening to Teaching Company lecture every week while driving.
- Goal: Follow Great Books curriculum. Create checklist.
Goods of the Body:
- Running with dogs every weekday morning.
- Going to gym every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday.
- Playing fun sport on Sunday.
- Drinking water and green tea instead of sodas.
- Eating healthy snacks between meals (apple sauce, yogurt, fruit).
- Avoiding food past 9pm. It should probably be earlier, but I’m working on that.
- Goal: Buy dumbbell set.
Goods of the Soul:
- Reading Bible on weekday mornings (Currently Psalms, 2 Samuel, and Romans).
- Praying in morning while walking dog and after Bible study.
- Listening to music on iPod every day.
- Watching 1-2 movies a week, via Netflix.
- Attending prayer group every Tuesday for accountability and prayer.
- Attending church on Sundays.
- Drawing in sketchbook weekly.
- Goal: Begin ministry. Design ministry? Improv comedy ministry? Apologetics?
