I suppose in the blogging community it’s almost mandatory that you write on the first of the new year. So here it is. I’ve met my quota. Many thanks to all the folks who read, commented on, and subscribed to my blog in 2007. Some of you have been reading this stuff since I began Sketchism in 2003. You guys rock.
A few milestones for the year: Participated in the Blogathon, bought a scanner, went to 4 places outside of Florida as I planned, got braces, got my Associates Degree, and I can’t remember anything else right now. I’m sure there were plenty. If there’s something in particular that I failed to mention, post it in the comments.
My biggest advancement on Sketchism in ‘07: posting sketches. Seems like it’s something I should have been doing since day one, but it’s better late than never. Buying a scanner definitely helped.
I am in the process of listing my goals for 2008, so keep an eye out for that. Tell me, are you making any goals? Mind you, I mean written goals, not wishful unwritten resolutions.

I don’t believe in resolutions.
But let’s see…goals, goals, goals. Well, I suppose the first one would be to get married! lol. The second would be to move to North Carolina. And the third would be to start my seminary education. I think that’s enough for me. We’ll see how that goes and perhaps in 2009 I can make a longer and more specific list.
Very admirable.
Just curious, do you have dates for all three already?
Happy New Years to you David and to everyone that comes here. Well, my goals for 2008 are: quit smoking, learn to cook any food that is safe to eat, graduate, volunteer more, pray 5 times a day, and just enjoy life.
Oh for Kristel hi, I notice you said you wanted to get married.. …. Go for it girl. I am married for almost 8 years and life is great.
My non-conformist side is proud to say I did not blog on the first of the new year, my other side says, “eh.” I’m glad you post your sketches, I enjoy them.
I decided I would make some goals for this year, I usually don’t. Goal #1 is make more goals.
Looks like I have some proactive readers. Congrats on the 8 years of marriage, Farhana.
Reese, I’m close to finishing my List of 100 Things To Do Before I Die. Goal number one was “List 100 things.” I started that list back in ‘03. Feels good to check those things off.
thanks
