Hello There

It’s been an interesting week thus far. I’ve been attempting to recover from this small cold that’s been building up in my system. 1000mg of Vitamin C and a few expectorant pills each day should be fixing that up. I’ve been prudent with my homework time. Pacing myself with each project, just a bit every day, is a lot more satisfying and productive. I’ll keep a note of how I’m progressing to see how effective I’ve been with the 2 current projects I’m on. The sketch above is yet another move towards the typographical direction I’m excited about pursuing. Oh, and Barnes and Noble is definitely my favorite place to do homework.

Tomorrow I’ll be attending the Miami premiere of Helvetica, sponsored by none other than my employer and my school. For more information on this event, please visit the Miami AIGA website.

Then on Friday I’ll be attending the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios with 110 of my peers from school. I haven’t been to this event in about 8 years, so I’m excited to revisit the great haunted houses and rides produced by the Universal Studios team. From what I remember, the theme park staff dresses up like zombies and other scary creatures and they walk around through the foggy night scaring tourists. I’m sure a few of us will get terrified and embarrassed. I’ll have my camera ready. It’s just too bad that visitors aren’t allowed to dress up and scare others like we did once before. We’ll make the trip to Orlando and back on the same evening. It’s going to be a long night.

I hear that Musiq Soulchild will be performing this weekend. Next week there will also be performances by Mute Math, Eisley, Mae, M.I.A., and Ben Harper. It’s definitely going to be a wonderful weekend.
