My Brother Tony

I wanted to dedicate a post to someone who means the world to me. I’m talking about my big bro. Tony is 2.5 years my elder but he’s shorter than me, (I always like to point that out to people we meet). He’s a smart dude, able to solve all sorts of computer technical problems and he never really seems to mind. He’s one of my favorite people to humor in the world, as he has the most infectious laugh which reaches 10 octaves higher than most whales. It’s the best. My parents tell me that before I was born Tony would play with Hot Wheels on my mother’s pregnant belly in anticipation of his new little brother. He denies it and says I was supposed to be a girl. That’s big bro talk for “it’s true but if you tell anyone I’ll pound your face in.”

The other day I was sitting in a waiting room and I saw two little siblings messing around. The younger sibling got very upset and started crying with rage. His older brother pointed at him and laughed. This made the little one cry and yell even more, which in turn caused even more laughter from his brother. I couldn’t help but snicker, remembering the days when Tony would get a kick out of my fits. I was an angry little boy and Tony loved to rile me up with his laughter. Good times, bro. Good times.

I think it’s fair to say my brother is my best pal. We get along just fine and we enjoy each other’s company. UFC fights, basketball nights, hip-hop shows, barbecues, days at the beach, catching films, and sparring at the gym (I hope your nose improves, dude) pretty much sums up where and when you can find us hanging out.

Tony is reliable, honest, and an all around stand-up guy. Those who know him are privileged and those related to him are blessed. Love ya, man.
