One of the things I like to draw when I’m out of ideas is my hands. It’s an invaluable skill to have. In fact, I’ve heard people say you can tell who the good artists are by seeing their drawings of hands. Or was it horses? Either way, trust me you want to have this skill. What you see above is just a little sample. In high school it was not uncommon for my class to get assigned 50 drawings of hands. I think it was a required assignment for practically every student. I know I did a giant cross-hatching pencil drawing of my hand in one of my old sketchbooks. I’ll have to find that one for you guys. It’s worthy of a high five.
