The problem about writing about what I’m up to when I’m on vacation is that by the time I get back to the computer, I’m already exhausted. These past 2 days have been both peaceful and exciting. When I got here, Sarah told me this was a simple country with simple people. At first, I took it almost as though what she was saying was an insult about the culture. But what she meant, as I have discovered, is that life is not as complex here and the people know how to enjoy each day. Down here there is no hustle and bustle. There’s not the same kind of fast-paced stress as in home. Life is simple and beautiful here.
I’m off to enjoy the city. I’ll write more soon. Forgive me for the lack of details.
