Any Last Words?

So I head out tomorrow to the Big Apple. Typing this, I realize that I don’t have all my activities pinned down to particular days. I don’t even have a map. Alls I have is my youthful ambition and a camera. And maybe a few articles of clothing I’ve been dying to wear all year. And the comfort of two friends. Oh and batteries, six batteries. Plus my jacket, can’t forget that.

You get the picture.

I will have to fight the urge to frolick and play at the airport tomorrow. Being at the airport always brings back memories of early morning flights and exploring all the little shops and restaurants. My appeal for books and magazines instantly rekindles as I see the stacks of them in each store. Traveling by plane definitely seems like an activity for the educated. I feel smarter already. Quick! What’s the hypothenus of a right triangle! If you were going on this trip with me you’d know. Ya big dummy.

I look forward to traveling to a different state every year, if not season. I’m still saving money for a trip to Brazil and I was recently informed that my school is having a foreign exchange program with Greece. Scholarships are available. Count me in! My heart longs to travel the world and meet new people and ideas. But most important of all, to eat new kinds of food. That is the traveler’s dream.

Goodnight my friends. I hear it will be snowing by the time we get to New York. I can only hope so.
