Speaking of Music

Here’s a little tribute to John Coltrane, by Mikal Levy.

Awesome.

Cornerstone 2005

I’m going to Cornerstone Florida 2005 (May 13-14). Who’s with me!

Drop me a line if you’re interested (click my name at the end of this post or leave me a comment). I want to buy tickets early and begin planning the trip.

Need the Rest

Been lacking some sleep in the past few weeks. Lots of projects, lots of panicking, and I know what to attribute it to: Over-commiting in some areas and under-commiting in others, and of course poor time management. Fortunately, Max helped me tonight with understanding the process for doing projects and the proper way to organize myself for them. He’s such a blessing.

All this lack of rest at night has transferred over to my daily naps, which now tend to go for about two hours a pop. Tonight I completely missed my gym time and barely woke up in time for prayer group. I noticed there were 4 missed calls on my phone, too, but that’s because I turn off my ringer and play the radio when I nap. Ain’t nobody gunna wake me up. Even family knows not to bother me when I’m getting my rest. Things can get ugly.

I notice I’m a lot more sarcastic when I’m sleep-deprived. Pretty calloused, too. I didn’t mind that my project wasn’t up to par today. Didn’t mind that someone said a smart comment to me either. Too tired to care. I hope this doesn’t carry out in my life very often, I could end up being a bitter guy.

Speaking of bitter, it’s time for work.
