Wow. Look at the time fly. Let’s see if I can continue working on wordpress. It’s just so clean!

My car was giving me problems today. The spark plugs were apparently eroded and so my engine would do an abrupt shake every few seconds. When I popped the hood I noticed the sparks from the spark plug were coming out and the little electrical current made the engine jerk around. Strange.
I was forced to miss class and instead went down to my old stomping grounds in Carol City to see my mechanic Gilbert, an authentic grease monkey who keeps busy everyday taking orders on his mile-long cord phone and attending to poor saps like me who don’t know the first thing about cars. He’s the type of mechanic you want. He told me what I needed and where to get it, then Dad took over from there and fixed the car up. I hope.
I can’t afford to miss class again, seeing how my projects are due in a few days and then I have the spring retreat coming up. I’ve been good about attending all my classes this semester, with the exception of one day and today. I’ve only got two more excused absences and then I’m all out. Good thing my classes finish in about 2 weeks. Ahh I can smell the freedom of summer already.
Smells like the gym and plenty of books. Yum.
Check this out. What a bad pose to be caught in. I laughed till tears came out. Funny, Funny stuff.
If you attempted to check my site for the past 2 days (all five of you), you may have noticed that my site was not working. I have a reasonable explanation for this: my host isn’t very reliable. As I told my buddy Grace (heyy!), you get what you pay for. I pay a measely $2.99 per month, which is an awesome deal, but as you can expect there’s gotta be a downside.
Well, speaking of getting down, I wanted to show you all a cool rap music video that is free from bling, yet still has the oh-so-popular trend of coordinated dancing. I don’t expect you’ll mind though. I rather enjoy it this time. My favourite is the turtle.
Oh, and I gotta hand it to this guy. Very funny.
After about 2 months of postponing it, I finally found the time and energy to watch Peter Shaffer’s and Milos Forman’s award winning movie Amadeus. I finishing an online test for my psychology class and I figured I deserved a treat. Relaxed in my bed I watched the film, surprised at the lack of a dvd menu in the beginning.
Must be one of those types of dvds, I figured. But wait, no credits? Hmm… must be ahead of its time.
The characters quickly developed and I noticed that Mozart was already writing his famous last piece “Dies Ire”. I remembered immediately my days in middle school when we performed it for the annual competitions. My teacher taught us that Mozart wrote this final piece on his deathbed. I guess the film is one of those types that reveals the end first and then shows the story and then brings you back to the end so it all finally makes sense. (see: Memento, Snatch, Eternal Sunshine)
Anyways, the movie came to an abrupt end and I found myself thinking, Wow, that was awefully short. As I was putting the dvd back into its envelope I noticed the time on the envelope read 2 hours and 40 minutes. That sure didn’t feel so long. It was then that I realized I had put the dvd on Side B. Nice one.
Watching the ending of the film first put certain things in perspective for me:
(a) I’m a dork. (b) Salieri’s anger towards God, Mozart, and himself was a lot more complicated than I thought. (c) Two hours and forty minutes will definitely feel like two hours and forty minutes. (d) Wolfie’s genius was a lot more complicated than I thought.
Awesome film. Go watch it if you have an appreciation for music and two hours and forty minutes to spare.
