It feels great being at the office again, especially when I have a few projects lined up for me. So far I’ve worked on creating two business cards, a new website, and maintaining our own website. I even have my own thirdeye email account! Woohoo!
Yesterday I skipped going to the gym to see a movie that I rented via Netflix called City of God. Wow, what an amazing film. It’s disturbing on so many levels, but by the end of the film you feel like you’ve survived something so real and raw. If you’re not into the whole foreign film thing, which means you’ll have to read captions (unless you’re very fluent in portuguese), or if you can’t handle movies with extreme violence then this is probably not the film for you. However, the cinematography is absolutely breathtaking.
I’ll leave it at that.
Today is Thursday, which means youth group night. It’ll be sweet to step back into the sanctuary and host the show again. I expect we’ll have a good turnout tonight, as it’s the last gathering before school begins again. There’s a rumor that some of us are going to Gameworks tonight right after youth group because they’re hosting a special night for church groups from 9pm til 3am. It might be a little too rich for my blood though, twenty five dollars. Ouch. Instead I’ll probably just catch the 10pm showing Napoleon Dynamite. Who’s with me!

Yeah City of God is strictly real and raw in your words. Great movie. Good choice!
I had to cop the Dvd “City of God”. It was that good.
