Where does the time go

Hello again.
Things have been great lately. Work has been fulfilling, I’ve started attaining one more day of martial arts, had a great performance on Valentines Day, got some new jokes to work with, got to sing kareoke this past Thursday with the youth group, designed some potential logos for the youth group band, got my paycheck, made some good designs for my computer arts class, enjoying my online music appreciation course (haven’t done any of the work for my online english class yet… not good), started working on the new Thirdeye website (it’s looking really good!), excited about the new Mel Gibson film, also excited about the upcoming spring break retreat, saw some good movies which include One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and Seven Samurai (excellent films…excellent), wrote down some new goals, excited about the new Five Iron Frenzy album, got to lead a good group discussion with the middle school youth group, and I’ve been sleeping very well lately.

In case anyone’s wondering, I’m doing just fine.

  • good for youmr david. mmmmmbye

  • I think I’m mosed impressed about writting down some goals.
    Bravo.

  • Hey, buddy. I’m glad to hear you are doing fine. I’m doing fine too, though working like a one armed paper hanger in gale force winds.

I’m not nearly as excited about the Mel Gibson movie as you. Here’s why. Pardon me, my petulance is showing.

P.S. Why don’t you post some of your old comedy routines in text format on your web site? or maybe a couple MP3’s. I could use some chuckles right now.

  • Waita minute… I thought five iron frenzy broke up? Maybe I dreamed that.

  • They did, Wendy. However this last album was originally sold on their final tour and could only be bought at one of the shows or online. On April 20, it will be sold as a double cd everywhere which includes the final live performance in Colorado among other things. It’s going to be great, so mark your calendar!

  • So…why did you disallow comments on your latest entry? Hmm? As opposed to all the other entries, of course…afraid someone is going to challenge your point of view effectively and make some of your friends disagree with you? No? Then why? Only thing I can think of is cowardice. If you wish to prove me wrong, allow comments on your latest entry.

As for the entry itself—okay, I can stand a certain amount of sarcasm and sarcastic questions…but that was ridiculous. That was a dirty way to insult Dan and spin what he typed in his Agnosticism entry to make him seem like he hates all people who follow religion (and, while it isn’t true, you seem to forget that he placed atheism on the same level) and thinks they are all completely ignorant, simple-minded, stupid people. Maybe if you actually read the entry for the content, you’d have read something completely different. With the tone of his entry, you were probably looking for anything anti-religious, and “found” it—in other words, it was only there because you were looking for it. In reality, his entry was not anti-religious at all; it only explains his reasons for choosing to be agnostic as opposed to religious or atheist. I don’t think it’s cool to spin his entry to make it seem like he’s a complete ass. Haven’t known of you for long, but you’ve given me a terrible first impression…
