Put the pictures up! See? Once in a while I actual pull through for you guys.
ENJOY. There’s a bunch.
Now I have to get ready for tonight’s celebration. Oh by the way…

“Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal…. and a Happy New year.”
:::TAT TAT TAT:::
It’s a weird feeling going back into a mall. I usually stay away from them throughout the year for many reasons. One, it’s too many people. Two, all those people remind me how shallow people can be. Three, I’m scared I’ll spend all my money on cool shallow stuff. Four, I always see old aquaintances I hoped never to bump into again. Five, I’ve got the internet. Yeah that’s about it.
Oh yeah, Merry Christmas.
Tomorrow is a lock-in at WKBC. That’s going to be major fun. I’ll have pictures for ya this time. I promise.
Been pretty busy lately. Had a comedy routine on thursday and friday, been doing some extreme boxing training, got first paycheck, slept over a few friend’s houses, replaced camera battery, got grades from first semester (straight Bs), started editing video at work, visited my highschool for a little reunion, ate plenty of cake at home, and had some good chicken for lunch. Note: this is not in chronological order. Next on the list, buy some presents. It sucks to know you’re going to be broke. Don’t know what’s going to happen on Christmas or New Years. Looking forward to a good time with friends and family. Plenty of pictures. Which reminds me, I’m going to start adding pictures on this site. Makes things a little interesting, no?
Thirdeye’s office has the nicest wooden floor I’ve ever had the pleasure of walking on. So naturally I did the logical thing when I began working here last week, I brought my Razor Scooter. At first, the bosses were a little hesitant to let me ride it. It might damage the floor, might leave marks, etc. Didn’t want to disappoint them in my first week as a thirdeye employee again, so I just set it on the floor near my bookbag. Halfway through the day Manny passes by and picks up the scooter.
“How do you open this thing?” he asks.
“Just pull the little latch there and it opens up,” I replied.
“Ah,” he said as he prepared the it for flight. He placed it on the floor and skated away, feeling the smooth surface of the floor as he went around the office.”Hey this is pretty fun,” he exclaimed.
Now I can’t get him off the the thing. Any task in the office requires riding the scooter. Brainstorming, group meetings, going to the next computer, even lunch. When something is rendering, you’ll find a designer roaming around the spacious office, usually with one leg behind him in the air as he accelerates himself in the direction of anywhere. Clients don’t seem to mind us riding it as we talk to them. I think they secretly await their turn. Man, I love this place.
Whew, that was easier than I thought. It’s a good thing most of the people jurying my work were not teachers of mine. They loved my WARP book and told me I had great creativity and a sense of humor. As far as my drawing skills, apparently I need to ‘catch up’. Which is fine, for the moment. I was glad to walk out of there alive. I was honest about my lack of time-management, and how I plan on improving everything next semester. They saw potential in my abilities and shared a few comments about why most of the students are slacking this semester. As soon as the little alarm went off, indicating my time was over, I let out a silent sigh of relief. No more anxiety, no more worrying about waking up early 4 days out of the week, no multiple projects due on the same day, no more WARP, no more drawing, no more 2D.
One would assume I love doing these things, and in fact I do. Every so often I’ll pull out my sketchbook and put in a new entry of drawings or words with my mechanical pencil or ballpoint pen. Designing is great, especially when you’ve worked it all out from a simple sketch, and 2D work is my specialty after all. WARP? Ehh, learned a few good things there, mostly to put up with critiques and bad art. Made some good friends, that’s for sure.
Now I have a month off. So much free time I don’t know what to do. Oh yeah, I’ll work. Almost forgot.
Yeah, catching up with the last bit of work due for juries tomorrow. In a way I’m stressing because I don’t know what to expect, but at the same time I’m relieved that it will be over. The semester will be done, I will move on to better things: more semesters. Boy oh boy is this going to take long.
In nine days I will be visiting my highschool for the senior forum. All the seniors from last year go back and talk to the seniors from this year, to tell them the joys of college and what to expect from the real world. There’s supposed to be a nice big breakfast, so you can definitely count me in. I already visited last week and saw a bunch of my under and upperclassmen amigos. Glad that chapter of my life is over. The next step involves work and traveling. Oh and some more schooling. All this talk about school is making me panic again. I’d better go finish my assignments.
