Green represents a variety of moods. Olive is a very mellow color, it reminds me of Sunday afternoons when I lay on my bed, staring at the popcorn roof, listening to the nothingness of the room with an occasional hum of the A.C. turning off and on. Add some yellow and you’ve got Saturday morning glowing behind the blinds. Early walks with my dog, birds chirping, eggs grilling when I return, the mango tree in the backyard, the blades of grass spread upon the back porch after my father has finished cutting the lawn minutes before. Add some blue and it is suddenly Monday morning on the metrorail, I’m sitting on those abused cushions where children stand, mothers rest, nurses gossip and lonely men eyeball insecure women. I sit there observing the puzzle pieces of culture and emotions sway back and forth as the train reaches Allapattah, Santa Clara, Culmer…
